Rifles & Barreled Actions
Our reproduction of the 1885 is based on the original production
rifle built by Winchester. In fact, our rifle will accept
most original Winchester parts. Our 1885 will be available
only in original black powder cartridges such as the 38-55
Winchester, 38-56 Winchester, 405 Winchester, 444 Marlin,
45-70 Gov't or 45-90.
We are currently working on and testing the receiver for
use with smokeless powder cartridges such as the 30-06 Springfield.
Double set and single set triggers are in the works and should
be available early 2010.

Please note that we are
currently working on a machined version of the 1885 as we
felt that the cast version did not hold the tolerances that
we expect. As of 9/17/10 we are working on the preliminary
machining before we send them out for EDM work. Hopefully
at the time of this note we will see a finished product within
the next 2 months. After they have been proved out, we will
go into production on the receivers.
1885 Barreled Action - Round Barrel Price To Be Determined A barreled action is a action and barrel that have
been mated together. The barreled action is chambered, and
crowned and ready for you to blue or us to blue. A barreled
action does not come with any stocks. Some customers prefer
to have their stockmakers make their stocks and fit them.
The Basic 1885 Barreled Action consists of: Receiver with
a straight tang and straight tapered round barrel chambered
in either 38-55, 38-56, 405 Winchester, 444 Marlin, 45-70
or 45-90. No sights, barrel bands or butt plate. If you

The Classic 1885 Hi Wall Rifle Price To Be Determined The Classic complete custom rifle takes its looks
from te classic Winchester rifle. Comes with a standard
grade walnut butt stock and forend, straight tang and tapered
round barrel up to 26" long as well as a steel butt
plate and polished blue finish on both barrel and receiver.
The Sportsman 1885 Hi Wall Rifle Price To Be Determined The Sportsman complete custom rifle is identical
to the "Classic" with the exception that it is
offered with an octagon barrel. It comes with Medium Fancy
grade walnut butt stock and forend, 1/2 Round 1/2 Octagon
or Straight Tapered Octagon barrel up to 26" and steel
butt plate. Polished blue finish on both receiver and barrel.
The Montanan 1885 Hi Wall Rifle Price To Be Determined The Montanan complete custom rifle is the classic
octagon barreled 1885 rifle . It includes Medium Fancy grade
walnut butt stock and forend, checkering of our choice,
1/2 round or 1/2 octagon or straight tapered octagon barrel
up to 26", steel butt plate, and polished blue finish
on both receiver and barrel.
The Pro Hunter 85 Price To Be Determined The Pro Hunter 85 complete custom rifle is the cream
of the crop. It has everything that the Montanan has but
includes Extra Fancy grade walnut butt stock and forend,
your choice of checkering, 1/2 Round 1/2 Octagon or Straight
Tapered Octagon barrel up to 26" long, steel butt plate
and color case hardening on the receiver and polished blue
finish on barrel.
